"I just purchased a Hypermotard yesterday. Although I work less than 3 miles from Gengras I purchased from you because;
1) Last Fall you let me take out a Hypermotard and told me where the twisties were. Gengras wanted a $500 cashiers check before they would take me out on an escorted ride on Route 2 in Glastonbury.
2) You gave me an out-door-price. Gengras refused saying it was against company policy.
3) I should say that I am 55 years old and currently have four motorcycles and I showed up in both stores in Alpinestar leathers, so I am not some kid off the street looking for a thrill."

"Hi David & Chris. I really enjoyed working with Phi on the Borile last Saturday. What a master and a great teacher! It was also interesting to see the intensity that Tim applied to solving the Ago stalling issue. He was determined to get it right and boy did he. It not only does not stall but it is probably the strongest, smoothest running MV in the universe. Took it out for a long ride yesterday and could not believe it. Pulls strong and smooth from 3000rpm all the way up. Amazing. Please let him know how appreciative I am. I owe him a nice bottle of Italian wine!

"Cliff's staff members are PHENOMINAL! They made it easy for me to get on my dream bike. The staff were very professional, attentive, and did not put any undo pressure on the purchase. They answer all my questions, and made me feel like I was the only person in the store, I am sure all other customers felt the same. I will recommend Cliff's to all my friends and I am sure to return in the future. "

"Bob, Chris in service, and owners:
I just wanted to take a moment to compliment your staff on a work order they just completed for me. Specifically, I have a 16 year old K75RT that needed cosmetic work. My options were to scrap it and buy another used one or to find solutions that make it esthetically improved.
Chris in service. Chris was beyond patient and flexible in offering me a menu of options, costs, and information to make my decision. This job had several moving parts to it, and I know it was not a huge revenue producer. With that, it was treated as an important project, at least to me.
Pick up and delivery - It's convenient to have this option, and the gentleman that picked up and dropped off was great.
For what it's worth, I have brought several new customers trough your doors and will continue to recommend Cliff's to others. I am CCing several friend on this e-mail.

"Dear Joanne,
I just bought my second Ducat from Cliff's and I would like to commend you on the level of service I received from your staff. I purchased a 2006 monster about 18 months ago and I recently saw a 2006 Sport Classic 1000 on you web site. I emailed a request for a quote and Steve contacted me within 24 hours. He gave me a price and the numbers looked good so we started to move forward. Steve eventually found out that the Sport Classic had been a demo and not a "brand new" bike. He also discovered that the warranty had started and only had 6 months to go. He acted quickly to remedy the situation by doing three things: 1. he promised to have the timing belt and oil changed, 2. he got me and additional 2 year warranty and 3. he arranged to have my trade in picked up from my home. I felt very comfortable that Steve was unaware of the bikes former status as a demo and he worked to rectify a situation which was not terminal in the first place.
Once I got in the store to do the transaction Angela worked quickly and efficiently to get it all done. The paperwork and everything regarding the transaction went smoothly with Angela driving the process. In addition, Angel was able to procure a warranty that was 60 months rather than 24 months, something I was not expecting, but was a great surprise. The extra warranty was certainly above and beyond the call of duty and I greatly appreciate it.
The level of service your team provided definitely creates a reciprocal level of loyalty. In addition, I've always felt that the prices were more than fair and that your dealings with me were always extremely honest. I will certainly continue come to you for all my motorcycle needs, purchases as well as service.
Thanks and regards,
IP

"I purchased a 1962 r69s from your ad in Cycle Trader. The entire transaction was done on the telephone. I never saw the bike until it was delivered.
The bike is just as or better than what was represented. The price was very fair and your service was perfect.
It was an enjoyable experience.
Thank you.

"Subject: Cliff: A note about your wonderful staff, facility and service
Cliff;
I bought a '07 1098 (Yellow) from Dave Hartley. The process was smooth, friendly, no pressure and a pure pleasure on ALL aspects of the transaction. Dave worked his butt of for me and I consider myself and "easy" customer (paid cash and hardly haggled) Plus, I made a friend w/ Dave- a good guy and a straight shooter from the get-go.
As for Tim, Aldrin, Joanne and the lovely Angela,,,,one could not ask for better people- Oh and that crazy bird in the office!!!! (I'm a bird lover).
Keep up the good work and after-hour promo's; i.e. Helge Pederson- I'll be there!
I was brainstorming to Aldrin the other day and maybe consider a Sunday MOTOGP/SUPERBIKE get-together...Put it up on a wide screen and have a simple burger/dog grill session before the event......It'll sell bikes and draw hardcore riders.
I own a sign company, a web development co,, and a photography gig......If I can help you out,,,I'm there man.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Kindest regards,
Jay R. DeCarlo

"Dear Cliff:
This morning I brought my 2004 Multistrada in because I was having a myriad of problems. The idle was erratic, it would die at low speed, and would occasionally miss as I was keeping a steady speed. Also the throttle control was miserable at low speeds, causing me to be concerned that I could control the bike safely. This performance began after the 6,000 mile service performed in February. My previous delight with my Ducati changed to concern. I have owned three Ducati’s and am presently drooling a bit over the HyperMotard which I will visit this weekend.
I had brought my complaint in earlier, speaking to Chris and he told me at the time that the repair backlog was a month. He told me that he would work me in earlier, and gave me a date of May 26th which I promptly forgot. I called late last week and Chris made a second appointment to get me in today, first thing. My bike was in the shop by 9:05, and your Ducati technician Tim began working on it. He found the air adjustment was off, reset the throttle stepper, and then offered to put my bike on the sniffer to check if it was running lean. It was, he fixed it. His comment was it was running very lean. He took the time to make sure that he looked at all possible causes for my problem.
I will check tonight to make sure that Tim didn’t slip an 1100 in when I wasn’t looking! The bike runs so much better and performance is improved. I am very pleased with having my old Multistrada back that never skipped a beat. Tim also found that I had run a ground wire to the ECU mount, and re-routed it to the negative post on the battery explaining that it was not wise to have any electrical connection to the ECU. He did this on his own, making sure that all possible causes for the poor performance were taken care of. Dave took the time to mention that it was not a good idea to have my Mobil SpeedPass on the key ring as the transponder in the SpeedPass could interfere with the operation of the ECU.
Dave, Chris and Tim kept me posted on the progress, and at the end Chris presented me with an invoice which Dave had charged to his good will account. I paid nothing.
It was apparent that my problems were partially caused by the mechanic who did the 6000 mile service, and Dave accepted the charges without discussion. Instead, he apologized for the trouble I endured by having my bike run poorly for 1000 miles.
In this day of poor customer service, your personnel showed the way it should be done.
You can be sure that all my future bike business will be done with your company and that I will continue to spread the word about the best motorcycle dealer in the Northeast.
By the way, I seldom write letters praising a company for doing what is right. Your company did what was right and more to ensure that I was a happy customer. I am very pleased, and wanted you to know the caliber of people you have hired to build your company.
I look forward to your new facility as it is about 5 miles from my home. The problem is that I will be a frequent visitor, and likely a frequent spender.
As I am in the mood, I also would like to compliment Joanne as I have been discussing with her the purchase of a Xcountry. Being height challenged I find the bike a bit too tall, she and Dave looked at the bike to see if it could be lowered and inch or so to make me comfortable. As it stands, it is doubtful. But I have heard rumors of a lower models from BMW in the future. I will be standing in line!
Sincerely

"Well where do I begin? The entire experience from start to finish was excellent to say the least. I called looking for a 2007 Tricolore. After hunting all across the country, I found Cliff’s in CT. Everyone that I have spoken with was very pleasant to deal with. I would like to give special thanks to Chris Kirkness, for answering all of my questions regarding the transaction. He is very knowledgeable indeed, and was very professional in communicating things to me. Another thanks goes to Bob Rosen for taking things to the next step, and getting me the information I needed when everyone else was busy. I would also like to thank Joanne for dealing with me all of the times I called Cliff’s! She was a great help in getting me to the right person I needed to speak with. I would also like to give a special thanks to Angela Syc for making the rest of the transaction smooth from start to finish. I am definitely happy with my overall experience with everyone I have dealt with at Cliff’s! I will refer any friends and other family members to Cliff’s for the great service I received myself. I wish there were teams of people like this in dealerships in my state!! Thanks again to everybody at Cliff’s!!!!"

"Cliff,
I’d like to tell you what a great bunch of guys and organization you have. I had a problem with my high beam after my annual service. Bought a new PIAA bulb but that was not the problem. Chris O and Shawn were able to trouble shoot and get it working again on Saturday. Shawn knows those RT-P’s and Chris was right on top of things. Customer service does live on.
Thanks again.

"I just wanted to write a quick note to let future and present customers how great Cliff's is, and to thank Cliff's again, after purchasing my Second Ducati Monster. Paulo Minelli helped me a great deal making my choice, and I couldn't be happier with my new s2r 1000. Angela Syc helped me deal with the insurance for months after my first monster was totalled. She was wonderful as we would be in touch multiple times a week as she was trying to make everything go as fast and smooth as possible. She also was great for getting me a great deal and saving me money. Jeanette got me a great deal on the new insurance and was a pleasure to deal with.
All in all i am very happy with all the staff I dealt with at cliff's, they're all very knowledgeable, very good at what they do and have wonderful personalities.
Again, thanks for making getting this new bike another wonderful experience. CLiff's is by far the best dealership i've ever stepped into."

"Cliff,
Last Friday (September 1st) I purchased my first BMW - a 2004 R1150GS from your dealership. Paulo Mineli was the salesman and Angela Syc handled the registration, financial transactions and a host of other details.
I was very comfortable right from the start dealing with Paulo. I really liked his demeanor, especially his willingness to speak with me in detail and his candid nature. He is a great person. As an aerospace mechanical design engineer, I simply must have the details laid out in front of me or I'll never be satisfied - Paulo delivered !
While I had already researched this motorcycle for months before coming to your dealership, Paulo's presence really put my mind at ease; I put a deposit on the bike roughly within 5 minutes of my arrival. He followed through with all he promised and ensured everything was 100% - each detail of the transaction.....from scheduling my time with him to loading the bike.
I worked with Angela primarily on the day I picked up the bike. She has a great personality dealing with customers and she made the boring paperwork portion of the transaction flow smoothly. She is very patient, easily understood, paid attention to the details and was a pleasure to speak with.
At work and in life, I often run into many people lacking people skills - people with zero personality. I want to ensure you that Paulo and Angela are top notch employees who genuinely made a difference to me. Both of them know how to communicate with people effectively and present themselves very well representing your dealership. My buying experience was certainly a favorable one because of them.
In closing, I will spread the word about your dealership and I want to mention that I should have bought a BMW 10 years ago..... this bike is unreal !! I LOVE it !!

"I stopped by just before closing the other night -- my running light was inoperable (rear tail lamp) a motorist informed me the night before that he almost rear ended me at a stop light.
One of your techs I think it was Dave - took the time to help me -- he found that it was a misplaced fuse -- he took the time to help even though he wanted to go home like the rest of the staff scurrying for the 5PM bell. The parts man -- I think his name was Steve - also very patient and considerate with my last minute safety problem as he searched for the proper bulb.
I commend you on hiring quality folks such as the two of them.
Thanks again,
a customer with a vintage K bike."

"Att: Angela Syc
Hi Angela,
I just got my phone call from BMW regarding my satisfaction with my service on the 28th. As usual I gave "tens" across the board. Just letting you know how much I appreciate the great work and service. The bike is smoother than ever. Extra thanks for getting the recall work done as well during the same visit, it made my life much easier. My comment to BMW about the only "problem" was that you didn't work on cars and trucks as well or I'd have you service all of my vehicles may not have been totally understood by the young woman as my poor attempt at humor. Needless to say I'm very pleased with everyone at Cliff's.
Thanks again,
Rod
Happy R 1200 GS owner.
PS Please thank Francis again for handling the tires

"Cliff,
We wanted to take this time to thank your staff (Paulo, Steve & Angela) and to let you know what a wonderful experience we had purchasing a new Ducati S2R 1000 from your dealership.
It started when my wife wanted her own bike again. We had some criteria that was hard to find in one bike; light weight, low seat height & good hp. The first bike we saw that met this criteria was the Buell Lightning CG. Being a Ducati fan & owner, I had her look at the monster line and she was surprised to find that she could "tip toe" on the monster but felt the seat height needed to be lower if she was to even consider buying the bike.
So we talked to a sales person at xxxxxx (10 minutes away from our house) as to what could done to get a lower seat height. He wasn't sure and needed to research this and would get back to us. After more then two weeks passed with no response I started emailing different dealerships and suspension houses only to be told it could be done. But I was getting conflicting information as to how much the bike could be lowered and just how to do that. XXX Ducati (where I currently get my '98 ST2 serviced) and Cliff's were the only dealerships I felt confident with the replies I received.
Our experience with Cliff's started with Paulo promptly answering a list of questions I had posted on your website and informing me of different options and products available in an effort to meet our goal of a 28 seat height. After two days of emails, we decided to come down to see your dealership and meet Paulo (1 and half hours away from our house). This was a Thursday night about 6:00pm and there were about 15 to 20 people at your store. We went to the parts counter and asked for Paulo. Within less then two minutes he was introducing him self to us and bring us in the back of the store to have XXXXX sit on the bike she was interested in (right down to the color she wanted Black with a white stripe). He popped on Ducati's lower seat and had her jump on to see what she thought. As this was going on Steve (who stayed late) came over to meet us and explain what suspension modifications could safely be made to lower the bike. Everyone felt that by using the lower seat and lowering the bike, the total seat height could easily be an inch or so.
We left and went up the street for dinner before we decided to come back and buy the bike that night. We were those customers everyone dislikes. The ones that are still in the darn store when it's time to close and thus causes the staff to leave late. We never felt rushed and we felt Paulo was open and fair on the purchase price of the bike and what was need to obtain the lower seat height. We were then introduced to Angela; she was a real pleasure to work with. Normally going over financing, warranties etc. is dry and boring, but she was funny and enjoyable to talk to as she explained everything and answered all our questions.
Two weeks later (our choice), we came down to complete the paper work with Angela and take delivery of the bike. The bike was in front of the store, easy to get too and ready for customer delivery. Just as promised the bike was lowered and the lower seat was installed. Paulo went over the bike with us. When XXXXX threw a leg over the seat she couldn't believe the difference in the finial result of Steve's work in lowering the bike. This was a home run in building xxxxx's confidence that she can comfortably handle this bike.
To top things off, the night we picked up the bike we had one of the worst thunderstorms of the season. So there we were, loading the bike in the rain and you (Cliff) came over in the rain to see if you could us help out. At the time I didn't realize who you were. As a customer it really says a lot when the owner of the dealership is out in the rain checking to see if a customer is all set or could use some help.
We will be anxious to see what our first service experience is like. If it's anything like we experienced so far, you have just won over a new customer for both bike sales and service. I can't believe there is a dealership out there that can deliver what they promise.
Thanks again to Paulo, Steve & Angela for a great experience!!!!!

"I'm addicted. I can't even pretend to have my Ducati problem under control. My 999, 900SS and wife's 750 Monster are treated like they were our own children. Expensive and needy, yet gifted children. For ongoing care of my 'family' I've seen the full range of service including Fxxx by Fxxxxxxx, Dxxxxx NY, Rxxxxxxx Cxxxx, to Mxxxxxxx. The last of that list really made my blood boil with a complete disregard for the customer and shoddy service to boot! Having heard good things about Cliff's I was ready for a change. Being the overprotective 'parent' that I am, I visited the shop the day before my 999 was set to arrive for service. Most dealers subcribe to two customer interaction models; ignore the customer, or rush the customer. Over the next 40 minutes I experienced the opposite. Chris the sales manager, Steve the technician and Diego the service manager (and others) all made an effort to introduce themselves. Diego took his time to go into detail about my service then, and in following conversations. This is key for any owner who is truly passionate about motorcycling. Unfortunately, the bad news was my prior service at another shop resulted in some further costly repairs. The good news was the team at Cliff's worked to discover the extent of the damage, and find creative solutions to minimize the cost to me. The did it efficiently, explaining in detail the problems, breaking down the work needed, the exact cost and provided and agreeable completion date. Sounds simple, but it's funny how those simple things never seem to be the norm at other shops. At the end of the day, everyone wants their dealer/service department to care as much about their bikes as they do. I think I've finally found a home for my 'family'... "

"Subject: love your web site
Hello--My name is F.H. I am a 14 year member of BMW MOA, and my two current bikes are a 2001 Aprilia Falco and a 1990 Ducati 906 PASO. I live in Roanoke, VA, two miles off the beloved Blue Ridge Parkway. I moved here 100% specifically for the high quality of motorcycle riding!! I was born and raised in Mahopac, NY, not far from Danbury. In fact, I bought my first motorcycle, a 450 Honda Nighthawk, at Hall's Cycle Ranch on Mill Plain Road in 1985!! I'd just like to say that I was on your shop's website today for the first time and I'd just like to say "BRAVO!" Very, very nice. I have dealt with your Parts Department just once over the phone. I ordered a footpeg for my PASO. That, too, was a very pleasant experience, especially since most of my previous parts requests at other Ducati shops have been laughably lousy!!
I plan on attending the BMWMOA National in Vermont in July. Picking a route is the hard part. I love the Hudson Valley and the area around the Lime Rock race track. Now I will have to fit in a detour to Danbury to check out your shop!!!
Thanks, and tell your web page designer he/she has done an excellent job. Fritz H.

"Cliff,
I’m writing to let you know that the R 1200 GS I purchased on Saturday is everything I hoped it would be and more. What an absolute joy to ride. The trip back home to Long Island was not only great fun but during the ferry crossing people were so curious about the bike they were asking all sorts of questions. What a great ice breaker for starting a conversation with total strangers.
I’m from the old school of buying. You know, that great joy one receives when you’re buying something you’ve waited a long time for and you hope the experience meets your expectations. That you get to enjoy and savor all the information, tire kicking and bike sitting the dealer will allow. Let me say that Chris and all of the staff more than met all of my expectations during the entire experience. They kept Chris busy all the time but I never felt I was not getting his full attention and consideration. He’s not only courteous and polite, his knowledge of the product is impeccable. The delivery of the bike was like nothing I’ve ever seen. Chris patiently went over every part of the bike to make sure I was thoroughly familiar with all aspects of its performance and functions.
I’ve never written to anyone regarding a purchase before. Maybe it’s because I’ve never had as nice an experience as I’ve had with Chris and everyone I met at Cliff’s. (Although I’m still not sure I should have let Chris talk me out of the Leopard saddle bags.)
I will gladly recommend Cliff’s to any and all who are interested in not only a fine bike but spectacular service. I’m looking forward to a long and happy relationship with everyone there and I know I won’t be disappointed.
Sincerely,
R.F.

" I have ridden my R1150GS three times since the recent 12,000 service & new tires. Each time I managed to sneak in a 35 mile or so ride on the February weekends before the next snowfall. The scenery on the two lane roads in Northern Westchester is great in the winter & the roads uncrowded.
The new Michelin Anakees are great and the bike has been running the best since I purchased it new. Your service guys did a great job.
Thanks, L.M

Cliff,
Chris is an asset to your business. I had a response from one of your competitors that did not even warrant a response back from me.
My regards and hope you have a successful spring. Guess I ride my Virago for one more year. Oh well it could be worse, I could be using pedals.. (Tom)

"Hi again,
Since I kept writing and calling when I was concerned, I figured I should write and say thank you as well.
I appreciate the efforts that went into getting my bike properly diagnosed and repaired. I hope that I did not come across as an annoying or pita customer who was just being impatient. Vinny did a great job dealing with my biweekly phone calls, and I appreciate that Dave did real electrical diagnosis, rather than just random parts replacements. And thanks for having an open door, as owners and managers, to allow me to express my concerns. "

"Cliff,
One week into owning my R1150GS and I couldn't be happier! Thanks are in order to you and all the folks at Cliff's BMW who helped make it happen. I know it isn't customary to have motorcycles shipped across the country from one dealer to another and I appreciate both your commitment and dedication to helping me secure the bike I've always wanted. The 600-mile servicing is scheduled for 9/17, so I'll look forward to seeing you in a couple of weeks. Until then, I'll continue to compile a list accessories to be added at a future date. Thanks again for everything - you've gained another loyal customer.

"Cliff
I have had my K1200 RS serviced (including GPS installation, tires, etc.) at your shop since it opened and have received consistently excellent service. My wife and children have also been in for birthday/father's day shopping and always comment on the service they receive.
I was in last Sunday looking around for a potential replacement for my other bike, a Buell XB9S - a fun ride, but middle age and an arthritic knee have made it somewhat impractical.
Bob Rosen, with assistance from Francis, was able to answer all my questions, accommodate two test rides (keep in mind I did not schedule these in advance) and handle all the logistics necessary for me to ride home on a new R1100 S. In addition to doing all of the paper work, Bob checked the fluids, tire pressure, and shined the bike up. On top of all this Bob gave me $10 to compensate for the fact that the bike should be delivered with a full tank of gas. I can certainly afford a tank of gas, but the gesture was a class act and very much appreciated.
Needless to say, I had a great day and appreciate the extra effort made by Bob and Francis. Kudos and continued success.

"I am not a newcomer to BMW, having owned three cars and one bike in the past, and I currently drive an M3. I have also been called a tough sale, and I admit to being extremely exacting and particular about all things mechanical. I cannot recall having ever written a letter such as this in the past, then again I’ve never had an experience worthy of it.
I’d been considering buying a new bike for awhile, and learned that my old dealership had closed and that Cliff’s existed. Initially I made contact via email, and the response was so positive from Chris Kirkness that I decided that I should visit the store.
My girlfriend and I were greeted by Paulo Mineli. I instantly fell in love with the new bikes, and over the next several hours proceeded to test Paulo’s patience by asking him every conceivable question about every machine and product in the store.
I am an engineer, and what immediately struck me was the depth of Paulo’s knowledge of the systems of every machine, and his ability to communicate the information in a manner that my girlfriend could follow and understand. I can honestly say that I have never before encountered a sales person who possessed this level of knowledge. Beyond this, it was clear that Paulo both enjoys describing these machines and is also an avid rider. If I were asked how my experience might be improved upon, my response would be to change nothing.
Needless to say, I had no choice but to buy my new K 1200 S from Paulo on the spot. As the weather had been mild, I hoped that it would continue and that I could begin enjoying my pride and joy, however I may have guaranteed the past two weeks of cold and snow!
Another great surprise was learning that Francis is here in parts, and, while I haven’t seen him yet, Phil is in the service group.
My tour of the service department was impressive. I had a radar detector installed that necessitated fabrication. I do not recall the man’s name that performed the work; however his workmanship is absolutely impeccable. Of course I had to visit and bother him while he was performing his art, and as he pointed out what he’d done, there was no mistaking the pride he took in his work.
In every category, and with every person that I encountered, the people at Cliff’s are unsurpassed. Thanks, and keep it up!

"This is my first purchase with Cliff's. I have not met one person who did not treat me as if I was the most important client at the moment. Chris made me feel welcomed
and appreciated as a new customer. I checked other dealers and not one came close to the attitude and atmosphere that is Cliff's. Chris made sure that I was introduced to everyone who would be involved in any facet of my purchase. Paulo completed my delivery with no problems and has been there to answer any questions I may have had. He has given great suggestions about use and break in of my new "redhead". Angela paid great attention to the details and caught a mistake by my insurance company. Frank delivered my bike and made sure that everything was as it should be. I cannot say enough about
this dealership. They have all been great.

"Enough of my brief history and on to my main question. Do you ever video tape your seminars for sale to your fans and followers who are unable to attend your seminars. I really wish we had a dealership in this area that offers the personality that your appears to. Keep up the GREAT WORK. I am confident there are many more enthusiasts out like me that enjoy reading about and following all that goes on at Clliff's BMW but never write to tell you how much it is appreciated.

"Hi Bob,
I wish to express my appreciation and gratitude for your assistance recently with the brake job debacle. I understand fully things do not always go the way we anticipate! But, I was impressed by you and your staff's concern and help in resolving the problem. And offering to pick my GS up here in NJ was way beyond the call of responsibility. It is no wonder that your facility is growing so rapidly with service of this kind! Thank you.
Speak with you soon.

"So if you like me have been tormented by the several dealershoips around, here is some great news I took my bike up to Cliffs Ducati in Danbury, boy I tell you it sure feels good to get the proper treatment, these guys really knows what it means when it comes to customer service. Steve the wrench there is a dream, really knows his sh*t made my bike run real smooth, so basically if my word as an owner of a 748 and a Monster counts I tell you, give these guys a chance you will for sure be happy. I almost forgot they are planning to start pick ups in NYC as well as jersy, contact me and I can give you all the info. Did I forget to mention that Cliff's service was much cheaper than the other 2 dealerships I called which I will with hold fom mentioning names, keeping it clean kids...

"I recently bought my first street legal MC from Cliffs and they made it a very enjoyable experience for me. Great job convincing my wife Paulo! I am about to schedule my first service on my Ducati and I hope that the experience that comes with that is as smooth and enjoyable as the purchase was. I love my Monster S2R Dark! I now have a bunch of jealous friends!"

"I found Cliff's/Danbury BMW online while searching for a place to buy "Plexus" brand plactic cleaner for my helmet and face shield. I love this stuff! I ride at dusk quite often during the warmer months and tend to accumulate quite a bit of 'bug juice' on my helmet. I've searched high and low to find something strong enough to clean, yet gentle enough not to scratch my helmet and especially my face shield. Then I found "Plexus"! Spray it on, wipe it off with a soft towel, and Viola! You've got one shiny helmet and a face shield clean enough to eat off of without any scratches!"

"I ride about 75 miles (from northern NJ) to get my bike serviced at Cliff's and am willing to part with it for a week when having to do a major service (I can't drop it off during the week). If that's not representative of my satisfaction with Cliff's BMW. By the way, I work in Manhattan and often ride to work. It so happens that I ride in front of BMW of Manhattan on my way home every time I ride to work. I never even went in there to see how they would treat me, even though I probably could get the bike worked on while I am in the office and pick it up at the end of the day to go home. How is that Cliff?"

"Good Morning Vinny,
Once again, thank you for having taken me in on your very busy Saturday afternoon. I was most encouraged by your professionalism when I called with a "rear drive" problem on my RT. I was also most appreciative of the consideration you showed with my specific problem and your willingness to assist me when I asked if I could try to drive the bike to Cliffs for diagnosis and repair.
I really appreciate all you did and wanted to also advise you that the
RT is operating in top form and the adjustment 'retorking' did fix the symptom. Of course I will see you in September for the 42,000 mile service and will follow your recommendation to change the rear end bearings. Please
order the necessary parts, as I will wait for my bike. I realize that the wait will be about 4 hours, or even more ...not a problem I can wait.
Take care, Sincerely "K.J." "

"Hi Cliff,
Since I haven’t been shy about complaining in the past, it’s only fair that I speak up when I’m pleased.
Last week I had an appointment on Wednesday for my 24,000 mile service. Unexpectedly I had to go to New York on that day. I called Vinny and asked if I could drop my bike off a day early on Tuesday. The added complication was that I had reserved a loaner for Wednesday. Vinny was able to secure a loaner for me on Tuesday which was a huge help. I dropped my bike off assuming that it would be ready on Thursday as previously agreed. When I returned from New York on Wednesday evening I had a message from Vinny saying my bike was ready! A very pleasant surprise. I went over Thursday morning to pick it up and the cost was less than estimated! Thanks very much to Vinny and his crew.
I have always been pleased with the work your group has performed on my bike. I can’t tell you how important it is to me to have a dealership I can rely on. I ride my bike long and sometimes hard and it never lets me down.
Thanks again,
Mike

"Just had my bike serviced for the first time at Cliffs. The experience was pleasant and the people were all really friendly. Vinnie in the service department was particularly nice and helpful. His answers to my questions were patient and really helpful. After talking to Steve(I think) who did the actual service I was amazed at the knowledge and skill of your tech staff. Thanks for making the 6000 mile service actually enjoyable.

" I couldn't be happier with my experience as a Cliff's customer. I live equidistant to another BMW dealer, but always make the trip to Danbury, because of the friendly, helpful, and knowlegeable staff. Cliff and his folks truly are down-to-earth, friendly people. Francis and Nick in parts do a great job, and the service department is exceptional. Vinnie, Diego and Evan worked as a team, keeping me informed every step of the way. Most of my contact was with Diego, who deserves high praise for his professionalism and customer service. And last, but certainly not least, I have to say a few words about the most important reason I take my motorcycle to Cliff's for service, and his name is Phil Cheney. My first experience with Phil was when he politely introduced himself to me before taking my K-bike into the service bay to do some emergency work on it during my first visit to Cliff's. My brake master cylinder had sprung a leak on my way down, and they had the part in stock. Service squeezed me in since this was a true safety issue. Phil walked up to me before getting my bike and said; "Hi Ed. I'm Phil Cheney, I'll be taking care of your bike today". That was a new experience for me (I have been to dealerships where they shield you from the guy working on your motorcycle, like they're the Secret Service protecting the president)! I had some concerns about my bike, since I had just purchased it used. But Phil took the time to hear my concerns, listen to my motorcycle and assure me that I had made a good choice with the bike I bought. He also assured me that any issues could be taken care of with a little tweaking during a routine sheduled service. He was right. I road it for the remainder of last riding season and scheduled a major service for the beginning of this season. I requested that Phil work on my bike, if possible, and they were able to accomodate that request. When I got my bike back the engine was so smooth and quiet, it was like I had a different bike. Phil explained everything he had done and was obviously proud of the great job he had done. He had a right to be. I was thrilled to have my bike running so well, and to know that I had gotten my money's worh and more when I paid my bill.
Thanks to all of you at Cliff's!"

"Everyone at Cliff's is a pleasure to work with. Sales staff is first rate. If they can't do something they will tell you. I do not know about the rest of you but that speaks volumes to me. If you ever get the chance to visit the store, by all means do so, it is quite choice! I took delivery of my Granite Gray K1200S and I could not be happier. In my case I was looking at the K1200RS. After a test ride on the new K12S I opted for it instead. FOLKS at Cliff's KEEP IT UP!! Thanks again."

"I just wanted to give a hearty thanks to Paulo and Chris for their much appreciated assistance with purchasing my first Ducati; A bright red SuperSport 800.
As a former In-Line 4 rider, I had a lot of questions since I had never ridden a v-twin before. Chris spent over 20 minutes on the phone with me, talking about the pros AND cons of owning and riding a v-twin. 20 minutes, during the prime motorcycle sales period of the year: early spring.
Those 20 minutes spoke volumes about this dealership and it was what made my purchasing decision even tho your dealership is over an hour away, and I live 5 minutes from another Ducati dealership. After my initial talks Paulo took over and ran like a fiend with it. I am somewhat..err..demanding when it comes to my purchases and I was very specific in my timeframe about taking delivery. Paulo was able to find me financing, handle the registration, and ensured that the bike was ready for my arrival in very short order. The bike is incredible, 200 miles already in just a few days. I love it, and just wish the warmer weather would hurry up and stay here! (I am what you guys refer to as a "fair weather weenie").
Again my sincere thanks for both of your help and attention to my needs. I have a few years of riding left in me, and I am pretty selective with whom I do business with. These two gents have ensured that I will be a Cliff's customer for years to come."

"I would just like to take a moment to thank the both of you for all the
assistance you both gave me during the purchasing process of my new Ducati
SuperSport 800. I know Chris spent at least 20 minutes with me on the phone
answering my incessant questions about the bike, and I put Paulo through the
wringer as far as time on delivery, financing, and just making myself a
general pain in the posterior. You were both patient with my lack thereof,
and also very knowledgable about the bike in general.
I must say that I am surprised over many of the characteristics of the bike,
having never ridden a V-Twin before. Obviously I am still getting accustomed
to the bike (87miles so far) and I am beginning to learn that you need to
keep the RPMs over 3k or the mirrors vibrate off the bike *grins*. This is
part of the "character" that everyone says Ducatis have, and now I believe
them. Its a GREAT ride, and handles superbly. I had to catch myself several
times on the ride home to slow down, since it doesn't FEEL like I am going
so fast. This is something that I should have done years ago. Oh and Chris,
the SS800 is WAY more comfortable than my old GSXR by a huge margin just in
case anyone asks as I did.
I do have one more question for you, due to my lack of experience with
V-Twins. I had gotten into the habit years ago of a small throttle twist
when coming to a stop. I would downshift to 1st, then as I was completing my
stop I would pull in the clutch and give a small blip of throttle, maybe
1krpm or so. Several times now I have gotten a backfire during this, is this
normal? it doesn't happen at any other time that I have seen, and obviously
I am trying to refrain from doing so but it is so ingrained in my riding
habits that I still do it from time to time without thinking about it. It
doesn't happen all the time either, perhaps once out of every 10-15 times.
Any thoughts?
Other than that I am supremely happy with my purchase, your dealership, and
specifically the two of you. I would not hesitate in the least to recommend
Cliffs to my riding buddies, in fact one of my friends last night was asking
all about it as they were all gawking at my new ride.
Sincerely,
Michael "

"Cliff,
I’m writing to let you know that the R 1200 GS I purchased on Saturday is everything I hoped it would be and more.
That you get to enjoy and savor all the information, tire kicking and “bike sitting” the dealer will allow.
Sincerely,

"Dear Bob,
I just wanted to take a few minutes to give credit where credit is due. As you know I just purchased a 2004 R1200CLC from Chris Kirkness. He was a pleasure to deal with and never at any time applied pressure or made the purchase feel "rushed". He is very knowledgeable about the BMW product line and always has the time to discuss options and extras for the vehicle. I am picking up the bike tomorrow and I'm very excited to add yet another fine bike to my stable.
Bob, I also wanted to thank you for helping me with the financial problem that was encountered with the contract on this new bike. The contract was submitted to BMWFS without removing my $1,000 deposit when I wanted to finance the entire cost of the bike. You took the time out of your busy day and listened to my problem with obvious concern for making it "right". Well, as I'm sure you know, Chris just called me and informed me that BMWFS has agreed to reissue the contract with the correct terms! I am very happy about this outcome and wanted to let you know. THANK YOU!
I love BMW bikes for many reasons but one of the major factors in a large purchase is customer service. Everyone that I have dealt with at Cliff's, Chris, Vinny, Evan and yourself, have made this an enjoyable purchase. Cliff has created a dealership that could be used as a model of what a dealership should be. Service, integrity, reliability and honesty are just some of the words that I use to describe this dealership to my fellow bikers.
I am looking forward to many years of enjoyable motoring on my R1100S and my new R1200CLC. Thank you again for your help and support during this purchase!
Sincerely,
JS

"I have ridden my R1150GS three times since the recent 12,000 service & new tires. Each time I managed to sneak in a 35 mile or so ride on the February weekends before the next snowfall arrived. The snow covered fields, woods & scenery on the two lane roads in Northern Westchester are great in the winter & the roads uncrowded.
The new Michelin Anakees are great and the bike has been running the best since I purchased it new. Your service guys did a great job.

"Hi guys,
OK, I may be somewhat bias, I'll grant you that, but the reality is that I've been to other dealerships and I've also purchased parts from other dealers via a phone order -- and there's just no place like CLIFF's BMW! The service is by far superior and the parts support is excellent. There's an entrepreneurial spirit which exists in the shop and you can feel it when you walk in the door. Working at the shop part-time for me has been a great experience as well as difficult, because I too have had to learn how to achieve that level and standard of customer support which goes way beyond "just being nice". Each employee comes with a skill set and product knowledge base way beyond the norm. Mix that with dedication and an entrepreneurial spirit and you've got a winner all the way around. Cliff's isn't just a BMW/Aprilia Motorcycle Store, it's a TEAM, and a winning team at that! Keep up the good work!"
